Document Trust Infrastructure

Secure Document Infrastructure for Regulated Industries

From estate trusts and M&A closings to FDA clinical records and Washington MHMDA-governed sessions — EDN's zero-persistence, post-quantum document layer protects every high-consequence transaction with cryptographic integrity that lasts as long as the document itself.

How Document Sharing Works

Your notary sends you a tokenized, time-limited upload link. No email attachments, no unsecured file sharing — just a direct encrypted channel.

Documents Route Directly to PROOF

Files pass straight to the PROOF notarization platform. They never rest on EDN servers — zero copies, zero retention on our end.

Your Audit Trail Is Secured

After your session, PROOF maintains a tamper-evident, court-admissible audit trail — including identity verification, document hashes, and a session recording.

Industries We Serve

EDN's document infrastructure is purpose-built for sectors where cryptographic failure is not an option.

Wealth Management & Estate Planning

Wills, living trusts, irrevocable trusts, and powers of attorney secured against multi-decadal cryptographic decay — protecting multi-generational asset transfers for 50+ years.

Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals

FDA 21 CFR Part 11-aligned document workflows for CROs, sponsors, and regulatory teams. Transaction Continuity Layer for drug validation filings and patent submissions.

Corporate Governance & M&A

Board resolutions, IP assignments, and M&A closing packages executed across fragmented legal and banking platforms with Unified Identity & Credential Continuity.

Healthcare Networks (MHMDA)

Patient consent records handled under a Stateless 24-Hour Purge Policy — PII and biometrics cryptographically removed post-session.

Your Documents, Protected at Every Step

Every aspect of document handling at Executive Digital Notary is designed around one principle: minimize exposure. We collect what's needed for your session, route it securely, and retain nothing.

  • 256-bit AES encryption in transit
  • Zero-persistence — files not retained after session
  • Tokenized, time-limited upload links
  • Post-quantum SPHINCS+ document signatures (NIST FIPS 205)
  • Ethereum blockchain anchoring for immutable proof of execution
  • FIPS 140-2 hardware-backed key custody (HSM)
  • File validation on upload
  • Direct PROOF RON platform integration
  • Session recorded and encrypted
  • Stateless 24-hour PII & biometric purge

Why zero-persistence matters

Every server that touches your documents is a potential point of exposure. By routing directly to PROOF and retaining nothing, we eliminate that attack surface entirely. Your documents exist on our infrastructure only for the seconds it takes to pass them along.

The Zero-Persistence Promise

We do not store your documents. Period. Files are temporarily processed, passed to PROOF for notarization, and then removed from our systems. The only long-term record is the court-admissible audit trail maintained by PROOF — which belongs to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of documents can be submitted through this system?

EDN's document infrastructure handles the full spectrum of regulated transactions: estate planning instruments (wills, trusts, powers of attorney), real estate closing packages, apostille-ready documents, corporate board resolutions, M&A closing documents, intellectual property assignments, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 clinical trial records, patient consent forms, and expat notarization documents. PDF is preferred; Word (.docx) and most common formats are also accepted.

Are my documents stored after my session?

No. EDN uses a zero-persistence architecture — your documents are never retained on our servers. Files route directly to PROOF for your notarization session and are purged from EDN systems immediately after the transaction. For healthcare and other regulated documents, all PII and biometric data collected during the session is cryptographically purged within 24 hours under our Stateless Purge Policy.

How does EDN protect documents from future quantum computing threats?

Every document processed through EDN is signed using SPHINCS+ (SLH-DSA), a post-quantum signature algorithm standardized by NIST as FIPS 205. Unlike RSA-2048 or ECDSA — which are vulnerable to Shor's algorithm on quantum hardware — SPHINCS+ signatures remain mathematically valid indefinitely. This is critical for long-lived documents such as estate trusts, clinical trial records, and real estate deeds whose operative lifespan may extend 30–50 years.

Is it safe to share sensitive legal or regulated documents online?

Yes. Documents are transferred over 256-bit AES encrypted connections using tokenized, time-limited upload links. Files never travel through unsecured channels. All signing keys are stored in FIPS 140-2 validated Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) — private key material is non-exportable by design. Every executed document is also anchored to the Ethereum blockchain, providing an immutable, publicly verifiable proof of execution that exists independently of EDN's infrastructure.

Does EDN support FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance for clinical documents?

Yes. EDN's audit trail, tamper-evidence controls, and identity verification architecture are aligned with the electronic records and signature requirements of FDA 21 CFR Part 11. EDN serves as a Transaction Continuity Layer for CROs, pharmaceutical sponsors, and regulatory teams — providing a sovereign backup signing layer that remains operational independent of any single vendor platform.

How does document handling work for healthcare organizations?

EDN's Stateless 24-Hour Purge Policy ensures all personally identifiable information and biometric data are cryptographically removed within 24 hours of session close — supporting data minimization obligations. Patient consent records are processed under this policy, leaving only the immutable SPHINCS+ signature and Ethereum anchor as the long-term record.

Can I notarize documents from outside the United States?

Yes. Executive Digital Notary specializes in serving Americans abroad, foreign national buyers, and international corporate counterparties. You can participate in a remote online notarization session from any country with a reliable internet connection. No embassy appointment or in-person visit is required.

What is PROOF and how does it protect my documents?

PROOF is the industry-leading Remote Online Notarization platform powering EDN's live notarization sessions. It maintains a tamper-evident, court-admissible audit trail for every session — including identity verification, document hashes, and a session recording. EDN adds a post-quantum cryptographic wrapper and blockchain anchor on top of PROOF's existing infrastructure, extending document integrity from the current session into a quantum-resistant future.
